State Treasurer Curtis Loftis Announces Winners of Future Scholar “When I Grow Up” Sweepstakes

State Treasurer Curtis Loftis has announced the 20 winners of the Future Scholar “When I Grow Up” Sweepstakes, a social media photo contest held in celebration of College Savings Month. Each winner will receive a privately funded $529 grant toward their child’s Future Scholar account.
“From doctors and firemen to rocket scientists, chefs and even a future State Treasurer, these charming photos of children dreaming about their future plans signal our state’s bright future,” said Treasurer Loftis, administrator of the Future Scholar 529 College Savings Plan. “For the past 18 years, we have been proud to help South Carolina families save for these important dreams. I am pleased to congratulate our winners and hope these families will continue to make saving for college with Future Scholar a priority in the years ahead.”

Sponsored by Future Scholar, South Carolina’s 529 College Savings Plan, the fun social media contest encouraged families to share a photo of their child dressed up as what they want to be when they grow up on their personal Facebook or Instagram accounts using the hashtag #FutureScholarWhenIGrowUp. The twenty randomly selected winners will receive privately funded $529 grants toward their child’s Future Scholar account.
